Electrical consumption (Without inline MeterMaid metering.)
1. Clients are responsible for ensuring that their electrical power lead is in serviceable condition and that when plugged in, clients ensure that the cable is routed safely from the electrical post to their vessel, so as not to cause a trip hazard or danger to other persons in the yard. Additionally, clients must ensure sufficient cable is provide for all states of tide if laying up in the pool.
2. Clients must ensure that the electrical device that is running inside the vessel is safe to operate "closed up"/ undercover for whatever period that it will be left unattended.
3. For direct non metered plug in’s the minimum chargeable unit for electricity is 1 week’s usage.
4. 1 week’s usage will be charged at £22.96 the day rate is £3.28 per day.
5. PBY staff will not disconnect any cable once plugged in (unless the vessel has to be moved) if the vessel is moved, PBY will inform the client that it has been moved. The client must instruct PBY to reconnect having assured himself/herself that it is safe to do so.
6. The PBY Tariff for electricity supply per week will be published and updated via the PBY website. Whilst at the time of writing PBY does not anticipate a further tariff change, we cannot rule one out, due to the volatility of UK energy prices which may impact the second half of this winter’s layup period.
7. PBY take no responsibility for any loss or injury sustained due to the miss use or malfunction of any electrical device connected to the PBY electrical posts.
8. PBY will conduct a regular weekly check of shore based electrical hook ups, both MeterMaid and without. The PBY assumption is that if connected, a client’s use of non-metered electricity has been continuous since the last check was made.
